I simply love animals, and I miss being around them. This is the perfect opportunity for me to have a short-term dog because I might move internationally soon.
Dogs for better lives has given me the opportunity to become better educated in dog training, and I love seeing the progress my puppy is making.
The fulfilling feeling of knowing that my training will help the dog become a partner for helping enrich someone’s life in the future.
Being an outdoorsy person, having the perfect companion who is always ready for adventures with you is an absolute joy.

Currently, Nina is one of sixteen raisers across the west coast and growing. Dogs for Better Lives continues to need additional raisers in Washington State, Oregon, and central California. To learn more about our Puppy Raiser program, click here.
Engraining the all-important “first experiences” for our future Assistance Dogs, our puppy raisers are integral to what we do. We are just as committed to them as they are to our organization, and together we create a community dedicated to helping others. As we continue to grow as an organization, so will the rapidly increasing need for puppy raisers. The more dogs we rescue or puppies that are raised, the more people we can serve.
