CENTRAL POINT, OR – At the April Dogs for Better Lives (DBL) board meeting, the national nonprofit brought on two new board members, Keva Meyer (Minneapolis, MN) and David Hollingsworth (Central Point, OR).

“Keva and David each bring unique skills and experience that will be instrumental in taking Dogs for Better Lives to the next level,” stated Board Chairman Al Lane. “They will instantly play key roles on the board, supporting DBL to navigate through this exciting period of growth with its signature programs.”

David Hollingsworth is a founder and Vice President of Business Development at Ascentron, a company that supports customers throughout the country in the aviation, medical, military, industrial and instrumentation industries by providing Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS). David and his wife Sandy own Mother Earth Pet Products (Ashland, OR) and are makers of SuperEssentials, a health supplement for dogs.

David holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Southern Oregon University. Founder of two sales representative businesses, he has been active in the electronics industry since 1987. Among other animals, David and his wife have two rescue boxers, Tucker & Bodie.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to serve on the board. Growing up in southern Oregon, I’ve been aware of the great work that DBL has done for many years in this community and across the country. I look forward to helping DBL expand and championing their growth in helping to better more people and dogs,” stated David.

”I feel so lucky to be joining the DBL family. It’s an amazing team working together to build something bigger than ourselves,” said Keva. “This opportunity lets me combine my passion for animals with my excitement for hearing health care. I am honored to be part of the DBL board and am committed to using my home base in Minnesota to expand DBL’s footprint.”

Dogs for Better Lives continues to focus on diversifying its national board of directors and actively looking for members locally and nationally who passionately support the mission. Currently, DBL is looking for board candidates working in the fields of technology, commercial real estate, legal, and marketing, among other areas.
