CENTRAL POINT, OR; Dogs for Better Lives (DBL) was honored Thursday, February 15th as the national recipient of Elite Hearing Network’s annual Summit fundraiser, held this week in Cancun, Mexico.
More than 300 Audiologists from across the United States convened at the Grand Coral Fiesta Americana, to be inspired to customize their businesses to meet the needs of their patients. Elite Hearing Summit’s theme CUSTOMIZE: tailored to grow, reflects the reality that industry and patients’ needs are constantly evolving and require customized services, tailored specifically to their needs and interests.
In addition to their annual 3-day business meeting, the Elite Hearing Summit organizers host an Awards Night to recognize and benefit a nonprofit making a significant impact in the lives of their members.
DBL was selected as the 2018 national beneficiary of the Elite Hearing Summit’s Awards Banquet in Cancun, with a live fundraiser supporting the national nonprofit’s Hearing Assistance Dog program. As of this morning, the Elite Hearing Summit attendees had raised a record $125,000 in support of DBL and their Hearing Assistance Dog program.
“Dogs for Better Lives is thrilled to be recognized as the national recipient of Amplifon’s Elite Hearing Network Summit Charitable Giving this year. We appreciated the tremendous opportunity to share with them the great work our assistance dogs do every day for our clients who are deaf or hard of hearing,” stated DBL’s President and CEO Blake Matray.
