How do I request a boarding reservation?

Create a username and password and submit through our online booking system.

When do I need to pick up my pet from boarding?

Pick up is before 11am on weekdays and between 9am-10am on Saturdays and Sundays. If pets are picked up between 11am-5:30pm on weekdays or 3-4pm on weekends, an additional night’s fee will be charged.

What time do I need to drop off my dog for daycare?

Dogs must be dropped off before 9:00am. Due to current high demand, we recommend you call ahead to make a reservation.

What time do I need to pick up my dog from half a day of daycare?

Dogs must be picked up between 12pm-2pm and staff must be notified at drop off if you are only doing half day as your dog will not go out with the group for the afternoon play session.

What can I bring for my dog when he is boarding?

You may bring toys and bedding if you choose and you must bring enough food for your dog’s entire stay.

Do we have heat or A/C in the kennel?

Yes, the kennel and entire building has heat and A/C.

What vaccines does my dog need to board or go to daycare?

Dogs need to be current on Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper (DHLLP). To go into doggie daycare, they also need to have a negative fecal within the year.

What happens when the building loses power?

We do have a generator that can power the kennel entirely including the heat or A/C. The front desk will have limited power though and phones will not be restored until the end of a power outage. We will be unreachable through our phones and cannot hear the voice messages but can get emails at boarding@dogsforbetterlives.org

What happens during a storm or extreme weather?

If the Falmouth High School is closed due to weather, then our daycare is cancelled as well. For the safety of our staff, we will close during bad storms and will try to contact our clients to notify them of our closing. Kennel staff will come in during storms to take care of the animals, but the front desk may remain closed depending on power, road damages, and safety. Normally once the storm has passed, we will reopen.

If we do lose power, the building does have a generator that can power the kennel completely, but the front desk has limited power and the phone system will be down completely until the power is restored. We can receive emails at boarding@dogsforbetterlives.org

At Dogs for Better Lives we provide the best environment for your dog to be treated well and feel safe
